third idea, weird
In my last idea, I will explore time more literally and less metaphorically. I will actually deal with the aspect of time through more editing. I will have clips that are sped up and slowed down. I will experiment with the editing of different shots. It will express the inner desires and needs of those who live their lives restrained by time and feel they cannot escape the restraints time places on them. I want to show the progression of time within an hour that feels like a life time. It will involve the story of one individual who experiences life through music which translates into time that is spent wasted.

I think thats a interesting idea, because I had a silmular one myself but instead of concentrating on someone's life I choose to give a certain space or room a life of its own. It will be great to see where you speed things up and slow them down.
ReplyDeleteThe first word that popped into my head when I read this idea was cliche. If I were to choose one of your three concepts to watch, I would definitely go with one of the first two because the subject matter is more interesting to me personally. However if you're going to do a narrative film, I think the idea of one hour should be incorporated as an integral piece of the plot. So far I think your second idea is the strongest and most intriguing.
ReplyDeleteIf you want to go after this idea, I recommend to not base it on a person. As humans, we can still relate to the concept without having a human actually physically in the scene. This would enable you to stay away from cliche scenes more and give yourself so more visually interesting imagery.
